This soothing Zoom class is complete with calming, welcoming exercises, then an enchanting tale to enjoy, followed by gentle, relaxing breathing exercises with music for a restful bedtime. Children can be all ready for bed or naptime and enjoy a tranquil and restorative session to finish their day.

Storybook Theater
In this beginning drama class, we’ll read enchanting, exciting stories from all over the globe and while exploring character development and movement, we’ll learn to bring these stories to life by acting them out. Animals, heroes, wizards, queens and many more characters will come to life!

Let’s Have Fun with Drama!
Discover the basics of acting in this supportive, creative and lively setting. Young actors will explore character development, feelings, focus, and improvisation all the while collaborating in fun partner and group work to bring out the actor in all.

Characters on Parade
In this lively drama class, we’ll explore all kinds of characters by acting them out in group and individual exercises and then discussing which ones are our favorites and why. We’ll experiment with many types of feelings and movement and then we’ll create our own in depth character complete with mask and costume to unveil for family and friends on the last day of class.

Silent Movie Stage
Together we’ll watch excerpts of silent film masters Charlie Chaplain and Buster Keaton, whose careers began by doing live theater. We’ll learn to communicate feelings through movement and gestures, and how to creatively use props and costumes to tell whole stories without uttering a word. At the end of the session, we’ll share our original silent scenes with family and friends.

Illustrating Aesop's Fables
We’ll discover a new fable in each class and learn to identify characters, feelings, plot twists and turns and uncover the moral of each story and how it relates to our lives. Let’s do some grounding exercises and some fun theater exercises and then we’ll delve into an art project created especially for each fable.

Myths Around the World
Culture, language, geography and characters tell important stories that hail from every corner of the world. Let’s explore a tale from a new country each class meeting and uncover important lessons from the characters we meet along the way. We’ll do grounding exercises and fun theater activities and act out our favorite parts of each myth.

Explore Characters, Then Create Your Own
Let’s dive deep into the world of story and investigate the characters that exist in all sorts of tales. We’ll use descriptive words and create colorful drawings to illustrate and define what it means to create a character. Our drawings will focus on headgear, footwear, facial expressions and many types of character costumes. Then - you will create your very own character, discovered and designed - by you! You’ll even construct a unique mask to wear as you unveil your character. Who will you become?
