Fun with Drama - 1 Week Program, meets for one week, Monday-Friday
In this enjoyable drama class, we’ll discover movement and voice for the stage, while experimenting with feelings and universal gesture and expression. We’ll read enchanting, exciting stories from all over the globe, as we explore character development and themes. Discover mythical creatures, animals, wizards and very human characters, too! Develop confidence, stage presence and your own sense of theatrical creativity as you learn to collaborate with your partners and express your inner actor through fun games and exercises.
Play Creation - 2 Week Program, meets for two weeks, Monday-Friday
Let’s develop and adapt a tale or fable and bring it to life for our family and friends! Together, we’ll study and analyze a story as we learn to identify characters, feelings, plot twists and turns and uncover the moral of the story and how it relates to our lives while creating our own play. We’ll learn some grounding and focusing exercises and some fun theater games too, to help us with character development and theatrical expression. Students will learn lines and how to follow stage directions. This class promotes communication, collaboration, self-confidence and creativity.
